Volunteer of the Year Nominees


Karen Gray, Arvest Bank
Is an outstanding community leader and and participates in numerous charity events while sitting on many community and charitable boards.


Vicky Carroll, Open Doors NWA
Works to shamelessly find ways to help the needy in NWA by running the Open Doors program to help people with job searchers. It includes programs that are meaningful and fit the needs of the people.

Judy Hammond, Premier Jewelry
Judy has had a non-profit career and continues efforts in the community with constant volunteer work in numerous activities.

Lynn Carver, Arkansas Support Network
Has spent years as an advocate for the disabled,hungry, and educationally disadvantaged. She feels deeply responsible for the advancement of our community and state.


Denise Garner, Fayetteville
Denise is a huge benefactor for all of Northwest Arkansas. She is willing to  open her home to help support good causes for the area. Leading financial supporter for many different organizations


Business Woman of the Year nominees

Carrie Perrin Smith
Carrie has a long commitment to helping others through her business, workplace and as a volunteer. Carrie is the networking queen while being at the forefront of networking and leading the charge with social media and networking groups. She uses her company to advance people while they advance other people.

Angela Belford, The Belford Group
Angela is a business leader in every sense. The Belford Group has grown in number of client and employees because of Angela's leadership. While having a large number of women hires, she cultivates an environment of excellence where they are allowed to excel. Angela is a leader in business, sales and someone her employees can call a friend.

Cindy Beemer, Beemer Back Center
Cindy has built a large chiropractic practice in Springdale for many years while supporting the community and others around her. While others have come and gone, Cindy has stayed the course, built her practice, and proven to be a community leader. She exhibits the utmost professionalism,compassion and desire to help her community advance.


Jean Anderson, executive director of the College Of the Crossings at Bella Vista
 Rotary President, outstanding leadership. Total commitment to the community. She totally amerces herself in everything she does and knows everything there is to know about what she does and the community

Tylinda Milstead, Twenty Four Hour Proclean
Tylinda is a pillar of the community, professional to the core and kind to everyone even tough customers.She takes her faith, family and career with great seriousness and exudes the confidence of a business woman who can literally do it all.


Civil Servant of the Year



Chief Kathy O'Kelly, Springdale Police Department
She has broken through barriers in her field and in the city where she lives.  She is responsible for changing paradigms of traditional thinking, therefore, she has created a path for women and women to follow.

Amy Wilson, Beaver Water District

Amy works tirelessly to help protect her and serve her community and Beaver Lake.



Karen Boone, United States Postal Service 
Karen is simply amazing with her dedication and desire to serve the public.  She exudes professionalism and customer service.  During the past snow storms she didn't miss a day! This girl will deliver come rain or shine; snow or ice! Truly puts a new meaning to the phrase of civil servant.

Judy Marquise,  Jr High Math teacher, Bentonville School District.
Judy is being nominated because  of her dedication to teaching math.  She treats every student the very same.  No matter if they're AP or Special needs, every student is taught from the time they enter the classroom until they leave.  She never sit down or slack off.  Always teaching to the best of her ability every day of school.

Patsy Christy, director of planning & Community Development, City of Springdale.  
Patsy is respnsible for the trail system in Springdale and ball part system.  Patsy directs the purchase and sale of houses in Springdale after they've been refurbished to help beautify the town.  She's on the board of Growing Healthy Communities.

Marilyn Chapman, Kent Dobbs Hyundai
She has made a difference in the lives of women by selling to them in a world typically controlled by men. Marilyn has demonstrated her ability to sell and lead by first networking, bringing women to the table and selling in a way women understand and feel comfortable in.

Sharon Orlopp, Global Chief Diversity Officer, Wal-Mart
She is an expert in human resources and a champion of developing people. She speaks around the country to pass on her knowledge. Sharon is a down to earth and authentic leader.

Leslie Eoff, Rodan & Fields Dermatology
For over 20 years Leslie has been honored to align her self with some of the most highly regarded companies in the market place. Harvey MacKay says, "Find something you love to do and you'll never work a day in your life." Leslie feels blessed to do what she loves and love what she does. If she can make a difference in one person's life, then she's succeeded.


Helena Gadison, East Meets West Enterprises / Premier Dermatology
 Helena has been working since 2006 with 5 years planning prior while working as a corporate executive with Wal-Mart to build her company. In 2011, East Meets West joined Premier Dermatology. She also runs a management consultation motivational speaking division. Women are her top priority and concern to pamper and hire as many as possible.

Leann Van Winkle GislerLea Lea is a true leader, growing her business steadily and adding jobs to an ailing job market. She is constantly our in the community helping in any way with women being in the forefront. She does this with a quick wit and a constant smile
